Getting What You Want Out of Your Relationship

Today divorces are just about as common as marriages, and the terms go hand in hand. While the world is a different place, people live, work and love differently, and temptation to cheat is virtually everywhere, love is still possible.

If you’re in a relationship that seems to be on the dull side, it’s time to heat things up and get what you want. It’s easier than you may think!

Men

Guys are so apt not to show their feelings and when they don’t get what they want, they don’t really voice their concerns. Instead guys usually keep the problems to themselves and it grows within them until they can’t function anymore.

The only remedy is to open up and talk to your partner. Tell them exactly what is on your mind. After all, not everyone is a mind reader.

Talk about your likes and dislikes, spend more quality time together, and don’t sweat the small stuff. Stress has a lot to do with our sexual desire, our performance and our mood in general. Before you blow your top, think of why you’re upset and don’t let it get the best of you.

Women

Chicks don’t need any coaxing to open up! Most women wear their heart on their sleeves, especially considerably younger or older women. Hormones play a lot when it comes to a woman being emotional, but for the most part women know how to effectively communicate their needs unless the conversation involves dirty laundry.

Sometimes males and females mask real problems, hiding deeper issues just under the surface.

The Solution

Communication, say what you mean! If you need more hugs, more time alone, sloppy wet kisses, a trip to the zoo or a day at the beach, say so.

If something bothers you, don’t complain about sarcastically. The old saying, “Treat people the way you want to be treated” is true.

Think of how you would want someone to tell you something, and tell the person you care about. Relationships are fragile at times, words can cut like a knife, and courtesy is important.

Verbalize your needs the right way.

“I need a hug”, “Touch me”, “Kiss me”, “I need to hear you say, ‘I love you'”, and anything else you need âÂ?¦ just say it.

Reviving a Relationship

Some couples find themselves in a dark place, they believe the relationship is too far-gone to save, but that’s never the case.

One of the most important things a person can give in life is their personal word. Write a contract to start fresh and avoid past behaviors that have caused hurt or problems. Make a vow to love each other, stick to the rules, and watch love flourish.

If the love is there, the effort is put forth, and the initiative is true, the rest will fall into place.
