Holiday Shopping Guide: As Time Goes By: Complete Season Seven DVD Review

The storyline for season seven of As Time Goes By focuses on how life continues to change throughout our lives. For Jean, her development stems from a need to deal with the extra time she now has because she no longer works. To help fill the hours she decides to give back to the world by helping charities that help the elderly. For Penny and Steven the prospect of working together is more than Steven can handle, and his dismissal of Penny’s suggestion that she take over as his office manager causes quite a argument between the two. Even Alistair seems to be growing up as he pops the question to Judy, who refuses his offer. If you are a fan of As Time Goes By, or if you have a Brit Com fan on your shopping list, you can now purchase season seven of As Time Goes By on DVD.

Pros of the As Time Goes By: Complete Season Seven DVD

This season of As Time Goes By takes a humorous look at getting older. I think that the episodes in this season not only illustrate the changing problems that we all face as we transition from one stage of our life to another, but they also clearly illustrate how the personalities of the characters in this series respond to the changes that each faces. One of my favorite episodes in this season is “Too OldâÂ?¦or Too Nosy.” In this episode Penny is bent out of shape because Steven has told her that she is too old to take on the responsibilities of helping him out in his dental office. The funny thing about this episode is that Steven really thinks that telling her that she is too old to work is more kind than telling her that she is too nosy, and that he thinks she’ll meddle in his patient’s lives.

Cons of the As Time Goes By: Complete Season Seven DVD

Like the other seasons of As Time Goes By on DVD, this disc does not contain a lot of bonus material. Really, this season’s bonus material doesn’t offer anything new as it offers the same trailers and biographies as season six. This collection would have been better if it offered more bonus material like interviews, bloopers, etc.
