Hotel Guide: Honolulu, Hawaii

So you’ve found yourself in Honolulu, Hawaii. Well, besides being extremely lucky with finding yourself in this amazingly beautiful location, you are on one mission – trying to find the greatest hotel that will match the beautiful terrain. And obviously in Honolulu, there is a plethora of beautiful hotels. But, I have found the top three hotels and reviewed them for your consideration. So sit back, let the wind blow through your hair, and pick whichever one really strikes your fancy.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is The Kahala Hotel & Resort. This beachfront resort is very popular with celebrities, which guarantees that it will be full of excitement and luxury. This hotel and resort opened in 1964 and is frequented by Hollywood’s elite starts, US presidents, and royalty. Some of this hotels amenity highlights include a chance to swim with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins – this is available for a light fee. The Kahala hotel and resort’s elaborate pool complex includes a large ocean-view pool lined with blue Italian-glass tiles, a big spa, and a children’s wading pool – all surrounded by a sundeck furnished with thickly padded lounge chairs and fronted by a sunning lawn graced by coconut trees. Recently, the resort built five 550-square-foot spa suites where guests can receive various massages and body treatments in a tranquil, private setting. The 364-room Kahala Hotel and Resort is comprised of two 10-story towers and a two-story Dolphin Lagoon Terrace. A three-story lobby provides plush seating amongst white beams and wooden shutters. This hotel is outfitted with a multitude of services and features that will guarantee a relaxed and luxurious vacation. All rooms at this hotel average around 550 square feet, some of them have furnished sit-down balconies; others have Juliet balconies with sliding glass doors and wrought-iron railings. Some of the various views include ocean, dolphin lagoon, or mountains. DÃ?©cor includes teak parquet floors and mahogany furniture.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Halekulani. This Tranquil hotel was built in 1917 and boasts of oceanfront resort and a spa. Upon arrival, guests are escorted to their rooms for private registration and introduction to the hotel’s amenities. Celebrating couples, vacationers, and business travelers enjoy the calm, almost residential atmosphere of this five-acre oceanfront resort that dates from 1917. The bottom of the heated Oceanside pool is covered with an orchid mosaic composed of about a million glass tiles, and surrounded by a terrazzo deck; attendants supply cold towels, cooling spritzers, and CD players with headsets. In the spa, treatments focus on South Pacific healing methods and are offered in suites opening onto private courtyard patios. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for all guests use. Rooms are located in four terraced towers grouped around courtyards, the 445 rooms in this resort open onto furnished lanais with views. Guests register in the privacy of their rooms and are welcomed with signature chocolates and fruit. Guestrooms have duvet and pillow covers with Menac designs from France, 300-thread Egyptian-cotton bed linens, and white-on-white dÃ?©cor. Other amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, soaking tubs and marble vanities. Complimentary toiletries include sunscreen and mineral salts.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa. This beachfront hotel provides its guests with a sanctuary for a vacation as energetic or relaxed as guests choose it to be. Despite the number of guestrooms and the presence of conventions, conferences, and even beauty pageants, the Village never seems crowded and the pace seldom picks up beyond a stroll – – unless the five swimming pools, the vast beach, and the massive ocean are involved. The massive 22-acre, self-contained, Hawaiian resort provides 2,860 rooms in five towers. Tropical-themed furnishings in spacious rooms are what greets guests for their vacation from Heaven.
