Juice Glass Crafts for Gifts or Home

Ordinary clear glasses, such as a juice glass, can be made into all sorts of things that you can give as a gift or use for your own home decor, like candle holders, trinket displays and much more. The glass doesn’t necessarily have to be as small as a juice glass but does need to be clear. Etching on the glass is fine but try to choose a glass that can easily be seen through for this project.

You’ll need a base for all the glass crafts discussed here and some great items to use for bases include small mirrors, small pieces of glass, or even wooden shapes. Select a base that will be at least as big around as the rim of the glass, but can also be slightly larger. Paint wooden bases, if desired, or leave them plain.

Make a floral arrangement on the base then glue the juice glass over the top of it. Silk flowers and greenery are perfect for making the floral design. After the glue has dried simply place the candle on top of the glass candle holder.

If you’re a fan of a particular famous personality, like Elvis, Charlie Chaplin or even Mickey Mouse, the juice glass arrangement is perfect for displaying your favorite collectible. Simply place a statuette of the personality onto the mirror or other base, then glue the glass over the top of it. You can add other minis inside the glass with the collectible, such as a mini guitar or a mini dog. These arrangements are one-of-a-kind that make great gifts for collectors.

Use a small photo frame, containing the picture of a loved one or even a pet, and encase it in the glass. This is a great keepsake idea that doesn’t necessarily have to hold a candle or collectible. Arrange a picture of a newborn baby inside the glass, make a small beaded bracelet that spells out their name, or include the hospital bracelet inside the glass. Place on a shelf as a remembrance of the day your baby was born.

Make any scene you want inside the juice glass. Arrange a Christmas tree with mini presents and children all around, a Thanksgiving scene with tiny trees and pumpkins, or even an Easter scene complete with Easter Bunny and mini colored eggs.

You can even make a snow globe with the juice glass and base. You’ll have to use a mirror or glass base to make the snow globe. Set the juice glass right-side-up and add water and glitter or fake snow. Arrange the minis on the mirror or glass then use epoxy to seal the mirror to the juice glass. When the epoxy has dried turn the glass upside-down to view the entire snow scene. Use a ribbon or decorative rope to cover the area where the mirror meets the juice glass rim.

When you visit a craft store you’ll find an enormous amount of minis that you can use to make any scene you want to inside the juice glass. These arrangements are inexpensive, make great gifts, and are very easy to create.
