Leaves Are Turning and so Are Tutus

Presented by Tuzer Ballet Oct. 7th, the Richardson Fall Dance Festival will be held at the Eisemann Center.

The facility at 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson, TX will play host to the Ballet which promotes classical ballet among youth and is a non-profit, publicly supported organization. Dancers have won recognition and scholarships from various organizations around the U.S. and Canada.

The show will start at 8 p.m. and will feature Western Swing, Cycle, and The Enchanted Garden. Matinee tickets are $8 and evening ones are $10-$20.

Tanju Tuzer was born in Turkey and co-founded founded the Ballet which also instills the performing arts in the Dallas-Fort Worth community. His wife, Patricia, a Dallas native and the other Ballet’s co-founder, started performing at the age of three. In 1977 the couple moved to Dallas and opened Dancenter.

They also feature Tuzerita classes which teach children dances from actual shows and learn the stories behind them. Cost is $15 per child, ages 4-12. For reservations, call 972-783-1735.

On Sept. 17th Tuzerita featured “Tuzerita Dances Around The World” with the Meadow Minuets preparing for the newest chapter in their adventures.

The Dallas Morning News calls Tuzer Ballet “marvelous, lavish, and daring.” The Ballet has a Junior Company and a Junior Apprentice Company.
