With the price of gas continuing to rise along with other regular daily expenses it is very difficult to find areas to cut down on your daily expenses. I have found that by using natural products to make your own cleaning products is definitely one way that you can lower your bills and expenses. First of all you will need to purchase the following ingredients. Keep in mind that these ingredients are definitely a lot cheaper than purchasing pre-mixed or name brand cleaning products. You will need a box of cornstarch, bottle of vinegar, bag of lemons, salt, olive or vegetable oil, borax, bleach (1gallon), liquid dishwashing soap, box of baking soda, used dryer sheets.

All of the ingredients listed above can be used to get your house clean and germ free and will end up shaving a nice chunk of money off of your bill. Lets start with cleaning your windows. Instead of using a three dollar window cleaner, all you need is a half tablespoon of cornstarch and a quart of warm not hot water. Don’t worry about the streaks because you wont have any. If you need a floor cleaner, then you can simply mix a cup of vinegar with about two gallons of water. You can increase or decrease the amounts depending on the size of your floor. To clean out your tea or coffee pot you can just place the following items inside and shake until clean. Add some crushed ice, about two pinches of salt, and one whole slice lemon. You will be amazed at how clean and free your tea and coffee pot is when you are done. If you want something that is sure to disinfect, especially when cleaning areas like the bathroom then you can use a half cup of Borax and mix with two gallons of very hot water. You can also use the bleach and mix it with hot water to disinfect and thoroughly clean any room in your house. One final tip is for your shower. It can be very hard to get those shower walls clean and disinfected to your liking. All you need is a cup of vinegar a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, and a cup of teaspoon of dishwasher rinse agent. There are tons of very natural items that you can use to clean your home and it will definitely take some money off of your household bill. So the next time you are making up your shopping list why not take some of those expensive cleaners off and try adding some natural less expensive natural items. Not only will you be saving money but you will be making your home a lot healthier for your family as well.
