Product Review: Glade Scented Oil Candles

For many years I wasted money in my pursuit to find an air freshener that would work in my home. I live in a basement home, which usually leaves a musky smell from the dampness. I hate this smell! Therefore, to get rid of it, I searched the markets for air fresh products that I hoped would work. Unfortunately, I wasted my money on several, until I found the Glade Scented Oil Candles!

Before the Glade Scented Oil Candles, I had tried the plug-ins, scented wax candles and several aerosol air fresheners. When I used the plug-ins and scented wax candles, the only time I could smell them was when I walked by them, and then I couldn’t smell them as good as I could when I was bending down over the top of them. As for the aerosol air fresheners, they’re okay, but the scent doesn’t last very long at all. My home has large rooms, and there are smokers and animals (a Pomerianian and two ferrets) in the house.

After wasting a lot of money on air freshener products that didn’t work, I had given up on my search. That is until I saw the commercial for the Glade Scented Oil Candles. At first, I hesitated and told myself I wasn’t going to waste any more money. However, my husband told me he was pretty certain the Glade Scented Oil Candles would work, because they were oil. I took his word and drove to my local Walmart (the only place in my area where I could buy them). Once I arrived, I was a little shocked at the price … $6.99 for one glass holder, which included two one ounce Glade Scented Oil Candle refills — the candles! I went ahead and purchased the Glade Scented Oil Candle, telling myself the whole time that at that price they’d better work. When I got home, I removed the glass holder from the package, placed the small candle in the glass holder, and then lit the candle. After about five minutes, I could smell the aroma from the candle throughout my living room! I was happy, and that aroma lasted for approximately two hours. After two hours, the oil was gone, and the best part was the candle went out on its own. A little while later I bought two more glass holders with the refills — because you need one for each room, and if you have two in the same room, they work even better. The Glade Scented Oil Candles not only eliminated the musky smell in my home, but it also eliminated the pet and smoke odors.

Glade Scented Oil Candle Refills come in a variety of scents. My personal favorites are Delicate Petals, Dewberry Dreams and Spiced Rose & Vanilla. Furthermore, you can now purchase a set of three glass holders with two once ounce refills for $9.99.

There are a few disadvantages to the Glade Scented Oil Candles, and if I could change them, I would. Those disadvantages are: a) The price of the Glade Scented Oil Candles are a bit high. b) The price of the Glade Scented Oil Candle refills is $2.84 for three. I think this price could be a bit lower as well; more like $1.50 for three or $2.00 for three. c) The refills could be bigger so they would last longer. Don’t get me wrong, approximately two hours of burning is great, but another couple of hours would be even better. Aside from those few disadvantages, though, I will still continue to purchase the Glade Scented Oil Candles until I have at least two for every room.

To sum up, if you’re in search of an air freshener that really works, then you should invest in a Glade Scented Oil Candle today! Take my word for it … they do work, and they will eliminate musky odors, pet odors and smoke!
