Review of the MGA Entertainment’s Bratz Boy Koby

Out of all the Bratz dolls that we have, my four year old has finally gotten her first Bratz boy doll. She was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t find Cameron anywhere. Cameron is another Bratz boy doll and the “coolest” one in my daughter’s eyes. However, we did find Cameron’s best friend Koby at Target for 14.99. Koby’s motto is “I’m The Panther, because I am always on the prowl”.

MGA Entertainnment Bratz Boys: Koby

Just like the girls, the Bratz boys have a “passion for fashion”, and Koby is no exception. He stands approximately ten and a half inches tall, and comes with a head full of fluffy, soft, and thick brown hair. He also has two tiny sideburns that adds more to his cuteness. Koby has an extremely handsome face with painted on brown eyebrows and bright blue eyes. His mouth is in kind of a smirk. He isn’t really smiling, but he letting the world know just how cool he thinks he is. His neck, arms, waist, and legs are movable, and his shoes can removed at the ankle. He doesn’t have toes. In fact, his shoes never come off his feet. Other shoes can snapped on through the pegs at the bottom of his legs.

Koby comes with some really adorable outfits and accessories. His first outfit (and what he is wearing while still living in his box) is a navy blue skull cap and silver rimmed sunglasses (attached to skull cap, but can be removed). He has a red and navy baseball type shirt on, with a matching plastic shell necklace and bracelet (which is also removable). His jeans are wide legged and rustic, and fall over his brown camel toed shoes. Last, he has a navy blue watch on his left wrist and a beige athletic bag hanging over his shoulder that says “Athletic Department” on the front.

When it’s time to switch outfits, Koby makes sure that he stays in style. His second shirt is a long sleeved rugby type shirt. The shirt is striped with the colors white, red, navy, and sage, with a white collar. The shirt matches his olive colored cargo shorts that go below his knees, and comes with an attached olive belt. His second pair of shoes are kind of an olive brown color and are actually sandals. These as usual are detachable, and they match with both outfits. Last, Koby brings along an extra pullover type jacket just in case he gets cold. The jacket is cloth, grey, zip up, and matches with both outfits.

Last, Koby comes with a few special extras that my daughter absolutely loves. First, there is a Bratz Boys Koby poster that my daughter has proudly hanging on her wall. Then there is a little silver comb. This comb has had better use than any other toy comb that my four year owns because Koby’s hair is very soft and easy to brush.

Experiences with Koby

Koby is made extremely well. His arms, head, and legs are extremely sturdy, making it hard for him to ever fall apart. His detachable shoes however, are easy to pull off with a little tug. Even my four year old has no problems taking his shoes on and off. Once his shoes are snapped back on, they usually stay put unless they are tugged on. His clothes are easy to remove and put back on. Both shirts have velcro snaps in the back that hold together well no matter how many times he changes outfits.

My daughter plays with Koby non stop. He has been a boyfriend to every Bratz girl doll that she owns, so even though he isn’t a one girl type of guy doll, he sure does keep all the ladies entertained. After having Koby for a little over four months now, he is still played with on a daily basis, and still looks like he just walked out of his box.

Final Recommendation

Bratz is a big part of our lives these days, from the movies to coloring books to dolls. Koby has fit right in even though he is the only boy in a world of many Bratz girls. He is played with all the time, he is sturdy and durable, and for a doll, I must say he is pretty handsome. I recommend Koby to all Bratz fans out there. He may not be as popular as Cameron just yet, but he sure is working on it.
