A pre-order listing appeared on GameStop.com yesterday for an apparent expansion to the successful Xbox 360
and PC role-playing game Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Titled Knights of the White Stallion, the expansion was taken off the site before the day was out according to Gamespot. Bethesda, the developer of the Elder Scrolls franchise, has already released a series of minor add-ons for Oblivion since its release earlier this year, selling them online for a small price. While Bethesda has been blazing the trail for a micropayments business model, it remains to be seen whether it will be profitable in light of the fan community’s incredulity at the price of so far meager upgrades.
