Steps to Creating that Beautiful Bridal Glow on Wedding Day

When thinking of your wedding day, brides, how to you picture yourself? Surely you see the vision of loveliness that everyone thinks of when thinking of a bride. A beautiful woman with the glow of a woman in love who practically demands that all eyes stay on her.

For some women, that perfect look seems to come easily, almost as if they roll out of bed and look like a fashion doll. But as we all know, this isn’t the case for most of us. The majority of brides-to-be have to work for that perfect look and it’s certainly not as easy as we could hope. In fact, the more time you have before your wedding to plan for your look, the better, as it takes time to accomplish and unfortunately, that glow just doesn’t magically appear in time for your wedding.

Getting in shape is often the first thing on a bride-to-be’s mind. We all want to look amazing in our wedding dresses and if you haven’t already, finding a fitness routine to help you shed the pounds and tone up is key. Be sure to find something that you know you’ll stick with, whether it’s yoga, kickboxing, or even one of those boot camp-themed workouts with instructors that will push you to the limit. Any skin care problems should be discussed with a dermatologist, to ensure that you’ll have
beautiful problem-free skin on your wedding day. Your dermatologist can discuss the various treatment options to get your skin looking its best.

Planning your look is crucial from the moment you’ve found ‘the’ dress. From that moment on, you should begin deciding on how you want your hair and makeup to look on the big day. Think you want your hair longer? Or shorter? Maybe a different color? What about your makeup? Do you want to go for a more natural look or are you trying for a dramatic effect. Now is the perfect time to try out new looks.

Research your options in stylists. If you’re happy with your current stylist, you need to ensure that your stylist is available on your wedding day as soon as you’ve set your date. Otherwise, shop around! Start auditioning stylists to find someone you like and that will be available for you when and where you need your stylist to be. Keep in mind that just because you want to travel for your wedding, your stylist may not feel the same.

As with choosing a stylist, choosing a spa or a salon that offers facials as soon as possible is necessary to ensure that your skin will show off that amazing glow of a beautiful bride. However, you can also do at-home facials to save a bit of money. Just be careful about over-abrasive scrubs and peels that can do more damage than help.

About a month or so prior to your wedding, you should start wrapping up the beauty treatment, so to speak. Take this time to get rid of any stretch marks and reduce the appearance of cellulite. There are various creams on the market that do the job wonderfully. During this month is also when you need to decide whether or not you want a tan and to use the tanning solution that’s right for you if you choose to tan. Make sure you tan looks natural and is as light or as dark as you like – no streaky orange bride will do! You should also talk with your dentist about teeth whitening options during this time.

A week before your wedding is when you should go into the final phases of your wedding look. Waxing should be scheduled and done, giving you time for redness to fade. Your final hair cut and any coloring should be done in this phase to offer you the opportunity to fix any last-minute mishaps. It’s almost certain that you’ll be feeling the stress, but avoid going too drastic with anything. You’ll have a little extra time to fix small mistakes, but not enough time to fix the big stuff!

The day before your wedding is probably one of the most crucial in your beauty care regimen. Get your manicure and pedicure done, and remember to get a bottle of your polish – you never know when you’ll need to do last minute touch-ups! Regardless of the schedule for the day before, you should make sure to go light on the salt and avoid alcohol altogether. Also limit your caffeine intake. It might seem like you’re torturing yourself before the big day, but limiting or avoiding these things will help to prevent puffiness under the eyes.

The day of your wedding? You’re on the home stretch! Make sure to drink plenty of water and give yourself plenty of time to get everything done. And relax! A frazzled bride, no matter how beautiful she may look, is not the kind of thing anyone wants to see walking down the aisle.

Smile and regardless of the insanity going on around you, be peaceful. This is your big day. It’s all about you – the beautiful bride! Remember all the time you’ve put into making yourself look your very best and don’t be at all surprised to find all eyes on you as you make your way down the aisle!
