Top 3 Sports Bars in Atlanta

Atlanta is a great place to take in a ball game, drink a few beers, and hang out with friends at a local sports bar. There are many to choose from, but there are always favorites. I lived there for ten years and have to say I easily can name three favorites that will keep you coming back time and time again. Here are my top 3 pics for Sport Bars in Atlanta. They are in three different parts of town, so if you are visiting, you should be able to find one of these near you!

Jocks & Jill’s is one of the first Sports bars anyone would name if you are in Atlanta and ask where you should watch the game. I went to school less than mile from Jocks & Jill’s and truly miss the friendly staff, great food, and zillions of TV’s. There are a few Jocks & Jill’s throughout Atlanta, but the one in Brookhaven is by far the best. They are located at 4046 Peachtree Road North East, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319. You can visit them online and www.jocksandjills.com for more locations throughout the city. This is one sports bar that hits the nail on the head for customer wishes. The food ranges form fabulous juicy burgers and chicken fingers to ribs and Sunday brunch. The bar area surrounded by lots of booths. The staff is super friendly and you shouldn’t hesitate to ask them to change a TV to what you want to watch. In the summer they do a crawfish boil to celebrate the season. Friday nights are all you can eat crab legs for one price. The parking lot can get pretty packed at the height of March Madness and when the Braves start making it to the playoff games, so you may need to look into some alternative parking next door. You can also take a free shuttle to and form the Atlanta Brave’s games from the Brookhaven Jocks & Jill’s. They can be reached at (404) 816-2801.

ESPN Zone came on the scene in Atlanta in the 90’s while I was in college. Of course everyone had to run down to Buckhead to check it out. No one was disappointed. I know every big city has an ESPN Zone, but that is ok with me. Booths face a large wall of TV’s and some even have their own personal televisions. There are three separate areas in the ESPN Zone in Buckhead: the Screening Room, the Studio Grill, and the Sports Arcade areas. You can order up great bar food and play some adult and not so adult sports themed arcade games. The games are a little pricey but that is to be expected. You have to buy an ESPN Zone debit card to play the arcade, which is another way they like to get you spending your money. The games are fun though, so be prepared to wait in line. ESPN Zone is located at 3030 Peachtree Road North West, Atlanta, Georgia, 30305. You can reach them at (404) 682-3776.

Taco Mac is by far one of the most popular sports bars in the Atlanta area. They have had a few different locations in Atlanta. The menu is large. It includes items ranging from massive nachos to burgers. You will not leave hungry after visiting this sprawling sports bar. The food is price relatively cheaply as well. The beer list is almost as large as the number of TV’s they have on the wall. I spent a night at their Guinness toast one year and the staff and the crowd was great. Wings are the most popular food here and you can get them in four different spice levels. So, you heat lovers should check this place out. Taco Mac has 19 Atlanta locations. Their Roswell store is located at 8879 Roswell Road, Atlanta, Georgia, 30350. They can be reached at (770) 552-8784.
