Top Countertop Ovens Priced Under $150

If you have not considered a countertop oven, perhaps the time has come that you should. Thanks so my sister-in-law, I was able to give the KitchenAid Countertop Oven, model KCO1005OB, a whirl for myself.

One of the first things you will notice about the KitchenAid countertop oven is its sleek design and modern stainless steel and onyx black colors. I thought it looked quite handsome in her kitchen and perhaps even added a little character!

The large stainless steel handle makes opening this countertop oven effortless. One of the first things I noticed about this countertop oven was the fact that it serves as a toaster in addition to its other features. This little jewel can accommodate up to six slices of bread, and comes fully equipped with a nifty little slide out crumb tray that is completely accessible to you without opening the oven itself. The crumb drawer, as it is called, is made of stainless steel and is located at the bottom of the unit. It is even dishwasher safe, a feature you may have never guessed it would have!

Enough about the toaster element, the interior of the countertop oven is a generous 0.5 cubic foot. The have developed the Wave-Rack oven rack that is a new and impressive feature. This new Wave-Rack oven rack makes it possible for food to cook more evenly on every side due to the fact that the rack allows for the warmed air to move around the rack. If you want to talk about power, this is a 1400 watt cooking unit, that will produce cooking temperatures up to 450 degrees.

This little multi-talented appliance turns out to be a jack of all trades with its capability of not only toasting, but warming baking and broiling. There is a heavy duty broiling pan made of heavy gauge steel, making it incredibly durable. You can bank on it being there for the long run. There is also a “keep warm” feature just like your regular kitchen ovens. This is a wonderful feature because it is much more convenient to store plates of food to warm in this smaller countertop oven than to have to heat your kitchen oven. The countertop oven is a dream to clean with its non-stick interior, and we all know how important that feature is. One thing I was concerned with, when it came to interior matters, was the risk of burns that I could be subjected to when retrieving food from the oven. I had experienced problems with minor burns in the past with my own countertop ovens. No fear though, KitchenAid has put our concerns to rest with their cool touch exterior, even though it is a blazing inferno within, you can rest assured the exterior will stay safely comfortable to the touch.

The controls on the front of the KitchenAid countertop oven are very easy and convenient to use. There is also a power indicator light that is red when the oven is in use. I was very impressed with this countertop oven. I liked the fact that there were so many things that you could use it for. Priced under $150, it is a great all in one option for busy people who need to cook something quickly without having to dig out their toaster or this or that. It is also priced just right for those of us who are penny pinchers and looking for a great quality product priced next to nothing. The dimensions of this countertop oven is 10″ by 20″ by 14″. Be sure to measure any spaces you might be planning to put this into!
