The Apple store is the best place on the planet to purchase any Macintosh products. As a Mac dork, I really like going to this store, just to see what new products they have in. They have display models of every product they sell, as well as computers running the full version of all of the software, so you have the opportunity to see it in action before you buy. Full of laptops, desktops, iPods, and camcorders, the apple store is a one stop shop for your computer and everything you need to go along with it. Another wonderful feature of this store is the computer program classes they offer. The store has an in-store training workshop series for several of their more popular computer programs that you can attend free of charge. The classes are usually taught by professional who use the computer programs everyday at work. This Apple store not only sells computers, it also fixes them. If you have a G4 or G5 computer and need repairs, the apple store is there to help you get your computer up and running again. This store always has fantastic customer service, with an extremely knowledgeable staff.

One of the things I like about CompUSA is that they sell Apple products in addition to PCs. They are the only store in the area I know of, besides the apple store, that is authorized to be an apple reseller. An advantage of CompUSA is that they, unlike the apple store will often put apple items on sale. The computers are never really heavily discounted, but you can usually catch a few good deals on software if you watch their weekly ads. For PCs CompUSA has everything you could possibly want and more, they carry a variety of different brands of desktops and laptop computers as well as software and all the accessories you could want or need. They have tons of extra hard drives, memory, and more. They do installation on site, and will often run specials where installation is free, or much cheaper than usual.

If you are looking for a deal on your computer, and aren’t extremely particular about it, you can usually find a good deal at PC warehouse. They have a variety of different computers, and their stock changes frequently. Hands down, this is going to be the cheapest place to get a high quality home computer. If you’re looking for a new one, they are well worth at least a look to see what they have in stock.
