About Carnaval Del Pueblo Festival London

The biggest Latin American festival of Europe, Carnaval Del Pueblo Festival, is held every year in London. The festival is based on a fun filled procession that leaves Elephant and Castle and moves the 3 mile distance to Burgess Park. The fun continues in Burgess park, where 4 different stages are set for the entertainment of people, and thirty artists of international repute and stature take part in the festival. Thousands of people visit the festival to enjoy themselves with music, rythm, dance and food representing the Latin American culture. The festival is free to access, and people of all ages are welcome including children who love fun activities, workshops and face paintings.

    Started in 1999, Carnaval Del Pueblo, is a festival that gives people an introduction to the Latin American culture. The festival has gained much popularity over the years and boasts of a glorious history of having 30 artists of international recognition.

    A total of 19 countries are represented in this Latin American festival. The 10 hour festival features 15 floats which are used. Salsa dance and the exotic music, food and other activities entertain people to a great extent.

    From the nearby Elephant and Castle tube station, move North on Elephant and Castle/A201 towards Newington Causeway/A3. Take a slight left onto New Kent Rd/A201 and keep right at the fork. Continue to follow New Kent Rd and keep moving on Old Kent Rd/A2. Now turn right onto Trafalgar Ave/B215, and take the 3rd right onto Neate St to reach Burgess Park. View Map
