Apology Email to Mother

If you have been rude to your mother or done something that has hurt her feelings, you cannot simply walk away and forget about it. You owe her an apology. She is your mother and may not hold anything against you even if you do not say sorry to her, but you really need to ask yourself if you will be able to face yourself in the mirror while knowing that you have hurt the woman who loves you unconditionally. If you do not have the guts to apologise to her face-to-face, then write her an email instead.

While writing an apology email to your mother, express your regret for hurting her in the very first paragraph.

In the second paragraph, try to explain why you did whatever it was that you did to hurt her feelings or make her sad.

In the final paragraph, tell your mom again that you really are sorry and that you are willing to do anything to make it up to her.

    Dear Mom,

I have been feeling awful ever since I shouted at you for dropping and breaking my cell-phone. I know it was an accident and yet I became blinded by rage and went mad. I am so ashamed of myself for reacting that way. I do not deserve to be forgiven for the way I acted, but I am still hopeful that you will forgive me.

You know how much I love staying connected to my friends via cell-phone. We friends share nearly everything with each other, which is why you see my phone always beeping and ringing. When my cell-phone broke after you accidently dropped it, I thought I would be cut-off from my friends and will miss out on all the fun.

I am so sorry for getting mad at you for dropping my cell-phone. Things break. It really is no big deal, yet I made a huge deal out of it. I am so sorry Mom. Please forgive me and allow me to make amends. I swear I am willing to d anything to make it up to you.

    I love you Mom,

    Tracy

    Dear Mom,

I have no words to express my regret and shame for causing you immense displeasure and annoyance. There is nothing I would rather have except for your forgiveness.

I remember you warned me about hanging out with Greg. You suspected him of being a scoundrel since the very first day, but I doubted your judgement and continued to date him. However, you were right about him. He really is a jerk. He was juggling me with two other girlfriends. I chose to trust him over you and ended up getting hurt as a result.

Please forgive me Mom. I have learnt my lesson. I will never doubt you or your judgement again. I need more right now Mom. I need your support more than I ever needed you before.

    I love you Mom,
