Apple Whiskey Cocktail Recipe

Apple whiskey sour is a very different sort of cocktail drink which possesses a unique taste. The reason for its distinctiveness is due to the mixture of ingredients used in it. Although the combination of apples, lemon and whiskey are common ingredients still their amalgamation will bring magic to your cocktail glass. You can serve this drink for a formal or a casual occasion but do keep in mind that due to the ingredient of wine the dink is for adults. However, if the ingredient is replaced by a white fizzy drink then you can serve it to children as well.

– 140 ml Whiskey (ideal choice would be bourbon)
– 2.5 cups of fresh apple juice
– 4 cups crushed ice
– 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
– 1 tablespoon caster sugar
– 2 red apples, peel and slice them

    Start out by first thoroughly washing your hands and all of the utensils or glasses that you will be using to prepare this delightful cocktail. Remember to also clean or wash the entire work surface that you will be using in the kitchen to put together this cocktail. Always keep everything clean when working around food or drinks.

    Take a cocktail shaker and add half ratio of each ingredient except for apple slices, Whiskey, Lemon juice, caster sugar and apple juice. This depends on the size of your cocktail shaker as most are not big enough to handle such a large amount of ingredients. Remember you want to put in close to half the quantity of ingredients listed above to ensure that you can effectively use your cocktail shaker.

    Shake the ingredients in the cocktail shaker carefully so that the entire mixture is smooth and that is has a nice texture to it. Remember to not shake too hard as you want a nice consistency and try not to make it too thin. Your cocktail should be slightly thick with a nice smooth velvety texture.

    Pour the prepared mixture in a cocktail glass and garnish with apple slices. Remember you can use any type of garnish that you prefer. It is best to serve this drink right after you make it as it is nice and chilled.

    Repeat the method for the remaining half ratio of the drinks and serve them in similar manner. The ingredients were divided due to the size of the cocktail shaker. If you need to make more then you can always follow the same steps and half the ratio again to prepare two more batches of this lovely cocktail.
