If you are a great fan of green beans then you might love to eat all the salads that have these beans in them. Balsamic Green Bean Salad is one such salad that is a light and freshly flavored dish which is full of nutrition. There can be many variations to this salad but the main ingredient will stay the same. The base ingredient in this salad is obviously the green beans which are also known as French beans/ String beans and are rich sources of carbohydrates and Vitamin C.
So if you are planning to prepare Balsamic Green Bean Salad that is flavored with vinegar then follow the steps given below:
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 5-6 persons
Utensils: Frying Pan, Serving Salad Bowl/Platter, Serving Salad Spoon,
- 1 pound Green Beans
- 5-6 Red Peppers
- ¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 9-10 Black Olives
- 3-4 tablespoons Oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Grounded Black Pepper (to taste)
First of all wash all the beans and then trim the ends and do away with strings.
Take the red peppers and chop them finely into long slices.
Also take the black olives and cut them into slices.
Add the stated amount of balsamic vinegar in a bowl and dip onions in it. Let the onions soak and leave them for a while.
Now during this time, add oil in a frying pan and heat it for a while. Add the beans and fry until they get a little pale in color.
Once you are done with frying, take a bowl full of ice cubes and add all the beans in it to let them cool down.
By the time the soaked onions are almost ready. So again heat oil in the frying pan and add all the soaked onions, pepper, slices of black olives and beans in it and stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
Now finally season with salt and grounded black pepper and take it out in a serving bowl or platter. Your salad is ready to be served.
