Behavior Apology Email

If you have acted irresponsibility and inappropriately and hurt someone or their feelings in the process, then you definitely owe them an apology. Simply realising the fact that you have hurt does not really cut it and result in a serious decline in the respect that people have for you. If you do not have the confidence to apologise to them face-to-face, then write them an apology email.

While writing a behavior apology email, you should express your regret in the very first paragraph.

In the next paragraph, share the reason or give an explanation for your behavior. Do not try to justify your behavior. Your aim should be to let the person you offended or hurt know why you did whatever it was that you did.

In the final paragraph, assure the recipient of the email that you are deeply sorry for your actions or behavior and that you plan on never repeating the same mistake again.

    Miss Michelle Smith

    Managing director

    Respect Miss Michelle,

I sincerely apologise to you for the way I misbehaved with you yesterday at office. I regret every single word that I said to you.

I am completely aware of the way I have been ignoring the standard operation procedures and office policies since the last few weeks. Skipping work without permission from the HR department, not sitting on work station while at work, taking extended lunch breaks, leaving for home early are indeed just a few of the things that I am guilty of. I should have expected a scolding from the management after acting this way for such a long time. Yet, I refused to accept my mistakes and instead became rude to you when you called me to your office. I said the most regretful things to you and behaved in an immature manner.

I am not proud of the way I behaved yesterday at all. I am aware of the fact that I will be punished for my actions and rightly so. I apologise once again and assure you that such a thing will never happen again. I will also make sure that I do not ignore the standard operating procedures and office policies again.

    With Regards,

    Kim Johnson

    Assistant Manager,

    Finance department.

    Respected [Recipient’s name],

I would like to apologise for my behavior at the office last week. I have not been able to attend work since last week, which was why I was unable to apologise to you before. I believe that apologising through an email is not the most effective way of expressing my regret, but I hope it would serve to let you know just how sorry I am.

I admit that I have not been doing my work properly since the past few days. I have been extremely distracted due to domestic problems, but this is no excuse for not performing my work properly. I deserved the warning letter that you issued. I had no right to protest or react to it the way that I did.

I hope that you will give me a chance to prove to you that I have indeed realised my mistake. At the same time, I assure you that I will not behavior in this way again.

    With Regards,
