    Water colouring

It is easy to entertain the babies with water colouring. Infants aged 11 months or older can be easily amused by the use of colours. All the parents need to do is buy some inexpensive paintbrushes and a bowl of water.

Encouraging the baby to draw a cartoon on a piece of paper is not a bad idea either. You can also demonstrate how to make circles, squares, triangle and other different patterns on a cheap white board. If the baby is too young to hold a colour pencil, consider dipping his hands into the colour water and let him put his hand on the piece of paper so he could observe the patterns of his hands. It is crucial to supervise this activity to ensure the baby does not soak as little as an inch of liquid.

    Bubble bottle

Consider creating a baby bubble bottle to help the baby develop the sense of colour. What you need to do is get a clear plastic bottle and put a tight lid on it. You will also need water, food colouring, seltzer tablet and vegetable oil to prepare for this activity. Fill the bottle three quarter with oil and then add water to fill it to the top. After adding 10 to 12 drops of food colouring in it, consider breaking the seltzer tablet into small portions. Put one of the pieces into the bottle and shake it. Your baby will enjoy the bubbles formation inside the bottle.

    Develop his vision

For babies up to 3 months old, parents should consider developing their ability to visually focus. Coming back from work, consider bringing leaves in a variety of bright colours, sizes and shapes. These leaves can be tapes to the baby’s cot or stroller to help him differentiate colours as the leaves spin in the breeze.
