    Manchester Terrier

Manchester Terriers are classified as the oldest of all their breeds but have now gained popularity in the past few years. With Manchester being their first breeding ground, the dog breed is considered to be one of the finest in all United Kingdom and parts of Europe.

The Manchester terrier looks much like German Pinscher as both share almost the same coloring and conformation, but the former is more delicate when it comes to skin texture. Male Manchester Terriers are considerably taller than their female counterparts and can ideally stand 40 inches tall. The fur usually is jet black with rich mahogany-like tan. The tail, which is never docked, is tight, glossy and smooth.

Manchester Terrier is not very impressive if you are looking to buy a large, fearsome-looking dog. They come across as friendly and shy and can live with humans without even getting much training. The dog is a medium-small size, smart-looking and is mostly dark-haired with deep mahogany markings.

The Manchester Terrier was initially bred as a hunting dog for small preys. The dog is still used for that purpose in some countries in Europe, but over the past few decades, it has proved itself more of a domestic dog.

Despite resembling Manchester terrier in looks and skin color, Miniature Pinscher can be spotted easily as it usually comes across as agile and lively. Pinschers are full of energy. They are very affectionate, quick to understand and love to guard their owner/master, even if they are not properly trained.
