Difference between Skydrive and Dropbox

SkyDrive has been developed by Microsoft and provides online storage services on user accounts. In contrast, DropBox also provide online storage, but you will have to pay some money to avail storage of more than 2 GB. Moreover, it has been developed by DropBox Inc. which was established in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi who were MIT students.

DropBox provides a very good integration with Mac and Windows. The business model of Drop Box has been questioned a lot due to its bad security record. But, it has still been one of the most used online storage service. In addition, is only provides free online data storage capacity of up to 2 GB which is quite less as compared to SkyDrive. Therefore, many people just leave Drop Box after their free storage is filled.

On the other hand, SkyDrive is much more sophisticated and user-friendly. It allows you to make folder in Mac and Windows to save your data files online. It works as an extension of Microsoft Apps and allows you to open, edit and save documents, spreadsheets and other files online. Furthermore, it provides a lot of online space to keep your data files. You can also share your documents, pictures, videos and other data files with your friends or other contacts in your inbox.
