- 500g (1 lb) penne pasta
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 red pepper, julienned
- 175g (6 oz) jarred marinated artichoke hearts, liquid reserved
- 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    Take a large pot of highly salted water to heat. When the water boils, add pasta in it and cook for 8 minutes.

    After that add broccoli in it and let it boil for further 2 minutes. Then drain broccoli and pasta from it and allow it to cool.

    Then take a large bowl and combine broccoli, red pepper, pasta and marinated artichoke hearts with salt, parmesan and pepper in it.
