It is a simple to prepare aromatic salad with colorful and stimulating ingredients. The finely toasted pita breads are mixed with the colorful vegetable mix, which highlights the overall look of the dish. Utensils: mixing bowl, large serving bowl, spoon, whisk, or fork
- 5 cups toasted pita bread - torn into 1 inch pieces
- 2 tomatoes – finely diced
- 1 cucumber – finely diced
- ¼ cup parsley - nicely chopped
- ¼ cup green onions – nicely chopped
- ¼ cup green pepper – finely diced
- 1 half head of romaine lettuce - torn into small pieces
- 3 cloves garlic – finely crushed
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice
- ¾ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup fresh mint – nicely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Make the salad
Pick a large bowl and place the small pieces of romaine lettuce and 5 cups of the toasted pita breads in it. Toss both of the ingredients and add in the finely chopped cucumber, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and parsley. Keep tossing until the ingredients mix well. Your salad is ready, set it aside to marinate until you prepare the dressing.
Prepare the dressing
Grab a medium mixing bowl and add in the finely crushed garlic cloves, fresh lemon juice, olive oil and the nicely chopped fresh mint. Season the ingredients with some salt and finely ground black pepper. Toss all the dressing’s ingredients until mix thoroughly.
