Government Equalities Office London

The Government Equalities Office is another department of the government of the United Kingdom. This department was established when Women and Equality Unit, which used to based within the Department for Communities and Local Government, was transformed into a self-governing department in October 2007. GEO has the responsibility to eradicate gender disparity in the United Kingdom government, along with the responsibility to give suggestions on various forms of equality including race, age, sexual orientation and disability to the other divisions of the UK government. It was a result of Government Equalities Office’s efforts that eventually brought the Equality Act 2010 to life, replacing anti-discrimination legislation.

    How to Get to Government Equalities Office:

    By Tube

    Victoria tube station is 0.1 mile away from the Government Equalities Office, which makes it a 3 minutes walking journey. Visitors need to head north on Wilton Road/A202 towards Victoria Street/A302 after coming out of Victoria tube station, and continue onto Allington Street then. Then turn right to stay on Allington Street and take a left turn onto Bressenden Pl/A302, which will lead them to the destination on the right side. View Map

    By Bus

    Bus users should take bus numbers 741, 748, 742 and 758 in order to get to the nearest bus stop of the Government Equalities Office, which is Belgravia, Victoria Bressenden Place (Stop 30A). After arriving at this bus stop, visitors of the Government Equalities Office should move out in the southeast course on Bressenden Pl/A302 towards Allington Street to find their destination.
