Home Office Department in London

Home Office is a department of the government of the United Kingdom that is responsible for security, order and immigration. Per se, the Home Office is in charge for the MI5 Security Service, police and the United Kingdom Border Agency. In addition to this, the Home Office is also in command of the government’s policy regarding security related concerns like counter terrorism, drugs and ID cards. Probation Service and Prison Service also used to be a part of the Home Office responsibilities before they were moved to the newly formed department called the Ministry of Justice. The Home Office works under the supervision of the Home Secretary who take cares of matters related to this department.
