How to Assemble a Bicycle Repair Kit

Transport is very important for everyone, this is because we now do things that are situated so far apart, that getting their on foot would make it impossible for us to do half the things we do.

However, going everywhere via a fuel powered vehicle is also something that everyone doesn’t want to do anymore, which is why more and more people are looking to invest in bicycles.

Bicycles are a great mode of transport, and are very easy to maintain. Not only do they make moving about a whole lot easier, but they also prove to be beneficial to you on the long run, since they keep you in top shape.

Nonetheless, as is the case with everything else, bicycles can end up getting damaged on the road, which is why you need to have a bicycle repair kit with you at all times.

The hardest part however, is to assemble this kit.

Instructions

  • 1

    Get bag

The first thing you need to do is to get hold of a water proof bag to hold all your repair tools in it. With you being on the road, the weather could play its toll on your tools, and should they get wet, they could get damaged and end up breaking.

In order to avoid this from happening, you need to make sure you keep all your tools in a water proof bag.

  • 2

    Pump and tube

One thing that need to go into your bag is an extra tube for the wheel in-case anything happens to one of your wheels and a small hand held pump.

Both of these are essential, and you should always shave them in your repair kit.

  • 3

    Extra snap on chain

You must also consider carrying a snap on chain link in your repair kit. Your bike’s chain could end up suffering any sort of damages on the way, and should you need to repair that on the road, then using a snap on chain link could make life a whole lot easier for you at that point in time.

    Other items

You also need to carry other items such as a screw driver, wrench and hammer. Also consider keeping duct tape with you, since you never know what you might need in your time of need, with no help around you.
