How to Awaken the Third Eye

The third eye is an imaginary phenomenon that has highly sensitive roots.

Confused as to what a third eye is?

Well don’t be. It is just an expression symbolizing the spiritual aspect of our personalities.

In these times of recession and depression, the human race has been forced to become mechanical. Everybody follows a tight schedule and has no time to prioritize the emotional and spiritual aspects of his/her life. Actually to be a bit harsh, we have become sort of jar heads.  We see what the opinion leaders want us to see, we do, what they want us to do. Although we think that liberal mindsets have taken over the world, in reality, we have become mentally bound to the easier ways, the ones in which we just have to follow, not lead. That can only come if we open up our minds and concentrate. This can happen only if you awake your third eye. That is the eye which helps us focus, and relates us to the things you were actually destined to do.

But how do we open that eye. Praying is one way to do it, but it is not the only one.

Meditation helps a lot of people in recovering from the most fatal of illnesses and helps them find inner peace. It can also help an individual open up the third eye, no matter how depressing the circumstances are around him/her.

    Set your back straight and sit in a cross-legged or Lotus position. It is preferable if you isolate yourself. Sit in a place where you think the air is fresh. Take in deep breaths and exhale. Repeat this process three times.

    Focus is of pivotal importance. Close your eyes and think that you are using your third eye to look around you. You need to make sure that there are no distractions around you so that you can have your whole attention to the subject.

    While maintaining your focus on the third eye, start counting backwards from 100 to 1 and keep your eyes focused toward the third eye.

    Stay in this position for ten minutes and then slowly bring your eyes back to their normal position. Let your eyes relax after the strenuous ten minutes and allow them to come back to their normal movement.

    Breathe deeply till you are sure that your eyes have regained normal movement. Now imagine that your third eye has opened.
