Waiting for the next trip to the bakery to get brownies? Well you do not have to. They can very easily made at home. Brownies are the weakness of many people around us and may be our own. A slice of freshly baked brownies in all its splendour can do wonders with mood swings and make you fall in love with life and all the good things in it.
Ingredients
  • Butter (salted): 1 cup
  • White sugar: 2 cups
  • Eggs, Beaten: 4 whole
  • Vanilla Extract: 2 teaspoons
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: ⅔ cups
  • Flour: 1 cup
  • Salt: ½ teaspoons
  • Baking Powder: ½ teaspoons
Instructions
  1. Preheat your ovens setting to 350 F degrees so that while you prepare the batter, it gets warm. Grease the baking pan. Pour some flour into it and spread it around to cover the pan bottom. This will prevent the brownies from sticking to the pan. You can also use a cooking spray for the same purpose.
  2. Place the butter in a large saucepan. Once the butter melts, remove the saucepan from the heat. Beat the eggs in a small mixing bowl and add to the butter mixture. Add the vanilla and sugar and whisk together. Now pour it into the butter and combine well.
  3. Combine cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder in another bowl. Add this mixture to the butter one and whisk in well, preventing any lump formation. Make an even batter because the secret to great brownies lies in this step. You can also sprinkle chocolate chips over the batter at this stage to enhance the taste and richness.
  4. Spread the batter in to the pan you prepared earlier. Place it into the preheated oven and bake for thirty minutes. You will know the brownie is ready when you insert a toothpick in the middle and it comes out almost clean.
  5. Let the brownie cake cool on a wire rack. Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water to cut across the cake into slices.
