When someone says you have to change your workout, it does not always mean changing exercises, since that can be done with a few tweaks here and there.

    Change the Number of Reps

    Changing the number of reps is another great way of changing your workout without changing exercises. This can be done by increasing them in such a way that you are pushed to the limit. Regular weight lifters do not feel a real burn after performing a set because of the same number of reps they perform on a daily basis. If you are performing 8-10 reps, increases that to 12 or 15 to have to really push for it each and every set.

    Change the Weight and Routine

    Many people continue working out with the same weight and routine on a daily basis for weeks and months at a time. This only forces your body to get used-to the routine and weight. If you feel that you can easily perform a specific number of reps and sets, let’s say for your bench press, than kicking up the weight a notch would be a good idea. Also, changing around how you perform the exercises is another good way to spice things up by performing a bench press, cross over and pull-ups one day, while mixing that up the next time you’re working out your chest.
