Remove hair from the bristles of the brush. You can use a wide-tooth comb to loosen the grip of the hair from the bristles. Then you can use tweezers to pull out the hair from the brush. If required, you can use scissors to cut off any hair that remained entwined around the bristles. Make sure that the brush is completely free of hair, as it is necessary to make the brush free of hair before continuing the process.

Drain the water from the sink and rinse well with clean water. Make sure you completely rinse out the soapy water from the brush. Allow it to dry, by placing it on a dry towel.

For hair brushes that are made up of wood, the process is slightly different. You do not need to submerge the wooden brush in the water. Just dip the bristles and the upper part of the base in the water and clean it with toothbrush.
