You may be using your hair brush for a long time and it now needs cleaning, in order to be used again. Also, if you have dropped it in the bathroom or on a dusty surface, you would definitely want to be clean again, before you use it. There are different ways of cleaning the brush. However, sterilising it will be the best option that you should opt for. Rather than going to market and spending money on the new brush, you can make your brush appear like new by getting it through the sterilising process.
You can save the same money for some other accessory on your dressing table or for your bathroom. Cleaning the hair brush by sterilising it does not require any special sterilising agent to be bought from the market. In fact, you can just use a small amount of shampoo or detergent to clean your hair brush. Therefore, you do not need to worry about the expense that will incur for the cleaning process.
Remove hair from the bristles of the brush. You can use a wide-tooth comb to loosen the grip of the hair from the bristles. Then you can use tweezers to pull out the hair from the brush. If required, you can use scissors to cut off any hair that remained entwined around the bristles. Make sure that the brush is completely free of hair, as it is necessary to make the brush free of hair before continuing the process.

Drain the water from the sink and rinse well with clean water. Make sure you completely rinse out the soapy water from the brush. Allow it to dry, by placing it on a dry towel.

For hair brushes that are made up of wood, the process is slightly different. You do not need to submerge the wooden brush in the water. Just dip the bristles and the upper part of the base in the water and clean it with toothbrush.
