Another thing that needs to be kept in mind is that the leather jacket does not require frequent cleaning. In case you don’t use it much, there is no need to wash it more than once a year.

  • 3

If the jacket is new, you just need to apply water and stain protector. This will surely help you avoid any damages. Make sure you wash the jacket with hands, because putting it in the washing machine could prove disastrous.

  • 4

When beginning, make the surface wet with the help of a damp cloth. Make sure you don’t put too much water on the jacket. The idea is to moisturise the surface.

Now apply a mild soap solution. Even a small portion of the jacket should not be ignored. After applying the soap on the entire jacket, quickly remove it with the help of a sponge dampened with clean water. Use the towel or any other dry piece of cloth to remove excess water.

  • 5

Air-dry the jacket. For this, hang it in the lawn or at any well-ventilated place. Make sure the jacket does not face the sun directly.

Enjoy wearing your jacket that will look new after cleaning. If you find any spots afterwards, use only a damp cloth to clean them.
