Visit your local grosser or the fruit and vegetable section of the supermarket and fill your shopping bag with all varieties of your favourite fruits and vegetables. Try to include items of different colours as it will help you prepare different colourful and attractive meals.
Adding different vegetable and fruits will not only make your food interesting but will also add a wider variety of minerals, vitamins and nutrients to your meal without adding extra calories.
Veggies and fruits
Do not forget to include green leaf vegetables, carrots, tomatoes, aubergines, corn, pumpkin, celery, onion, watermelon, melon, strawberries, zucchini, bananas, grapefruit, oranges, pineapple and berries in your shopping list. Cauliflower, cabbage and garlic are also good for health.
Start the detoxification
Eat a cup or two of raw or steamed vegetables and one fruit every couple of hours. (Avoid frying vegetable). Follow this routine for two to three days.
Drink plenty of water
Besides fruits and vegetables, hydration is also necessary. It prevents bloat and helps in digestion. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily to keep yourself well hydrated. Water not only helps you flush your kidneys, but also improves the health of your skin, hair and nails.
