How to Do Facial Exercises

Exercising your face is a simple and effective way to firm up and shape your facial skin without going through lengthy and costly surgical procedures. You can practice these facial exercises on daily basis in order to get a fresh, wrinkle free, thinner, and a more defined look. In addition to that, these useful exercises help in reducing the aging process as well. However, it is really important to do the facial exercises correctly; otherwise thin facial lines can become prominent with wrong facial movements.

    Facial Exercise 1

    The very first thing you have to do is sit right in front of your mirror in a comfortable position. Look in the mirror, place both of your index fingers on the two ends of your mouth and gently open it.  Make sure to give only a slight tug, avoiding overstretching your mouth. Hold your mouth’s muscles in this position for a while - a few seconds - and then leave it gently. Repeat this exercise for approximately 15 to 20 times in order to get the desired results. This exercise is helpful in strengthening the muscles of your mouth and giving your lips a fuller and attractive look.

    Facial Exercise 2

    Open your mouth for a big smile and use your four fingers, excluding thumb, to push down right on the center of your cheeks, bending your head back. Hold for a few seconds and release the pose smoothly.  Repeat this simple facial exercise 15 to 20 times in order to shape your cheeks to a perfect shape.

    Facial Exercise 3

    Stand straight in front of the mirror and push your head forward towards the floor. Wait for 4 to 5 seconds and then tilt your head back until your neck is fully stretched. However, make sure your lips are tightly shut during this exercise. Repeat this movement 15 to 20 times on a daily basis in order to get rid of double chin.

    Facial Exercise 4

    Look straight into a mirror or any other point in your room and gently close both of your eyes by pressing your eyelids down with both index fingers.  Lift your eyebrows during this pose and hold it for approximately 5 to 10 seconds before releasing it lightly. Do it again for 10 to 15 times to remove the fats and wrinkles around your eyes.

    Facial Exercise 5

    Open both of your eyes and mouth as wide as you can. Now, stick your tongue out to full extent and hold this pose for 10 to 15 seconds. Do this facial exercise for 10 to 15 times and get rid of tensions, comforting your facial muscles.
