A person suffering from palmar hyperhidrosis have continues hand sweating even in the absence of these conditions due to over activeness of sympathetic nervous system. In order to permanently cure palmar hyperhidrosis, you have to go for clinical treatments and surgeries which are very expensive. However you can control your hand’s sweating through several natural and home remedies, which are very effective and useful to get rid of clammy hands.
Applying scentless antiperspirant on your hands can result in reduced palm sweating. It works by blocking the sweat ducts through gel plugs that are formed when the antiperspirant reacts with electrolytes that are found in sweat. While buying an antiperspirant for your clammy hands, keep in mind to differentiate between an antiperspirant and a deodorant.
Stress and anxiety are among the major causes of clammy hands. So if you really want to get rid of your clammy hands, avoid stress completely by taking biofeedback or any other way. Try to stay calm and relaxed to maintain your body temperature and sweat secretions.
Alcohol helps the skin to get dried and reduces the moisture level. You should keep these wipes in your bag or pocket all the time and wipe your clammy hands with them to make them less sweaty.
Dab some talcum powder on your hands after each hand wash. This will help to keep your hands dry by absorption of excess sweat.
Breathing exercises are very helpful to relax the body and maintain body temperature to avoid excess perspiration. Make it your habit and do breathing exercise daily in the morning to get rid of clammy hands.

If you have clammy hands than be careful about what you eat. Try to eat more whole food and avoid processed food as they contain chemicals that can cause heat in your body and result in excessive sweating. Whole grains are rich in vitamin B and fiber that helps to eliminate toxins from our body.
Sufficient intake of fruits and vegetables allows proper functioning of our glands and controls their secretion within our body. To control sweating hands, eat pineapple and pomegranate. You can also take them in liquid form. Eat raw vegetables that are cool in nature such as cucumber, radish, etc. Avoid vegetables that are rich in iron. Also avoid onions, asparagus and broccoli to reduce hands sweating.

Baking soda and water:
Baking soda is alkaline and works by reacting with the sweat, which is a base and converts it into gas which eventually evaporates. Take a bowl and fill it with water. Add some baking soda in it so that it color changes to transparent white. Now dip your hands in the solution for at least 20 minutes. Repeat this procedure daily and you’ll find your hands sweating reduced and will keep your clammy hands dry.
Tannic acid found in sage tea, is a natural astringent and helps to reduce clamminess from hands. Put 4 to 5 sage tea bags in water and boil it. Now leave the solution to cool down and then soak your hands in it for 20 minutes. Wash your hands with soap at the end.
If your hand’s sweating is getting severe and none of the above remedies helps to reduce the clamminess then this is probably the sign of over functioning of sweat glands and can be treated with medicine or other clinical treatments such as Botox or surgery as per suggested by your doctor.
