Shampoo and condition your hair regularly
Leaving your hair dirty for several days makes your hair look greasy and dull. The dirt accumulated in your hair causes locks to get tangled and frizzy. Wash and condition your hair every two or three days. The shampoo will clean and remove dirt, while the conditioner will keep your hair moisturized, soft and silky. However, don’t overdo it, excessive application of these products may damage your hair in the long run.
Revise your diet chart, eat healthy
Eat healthy food and your hair will reflect that. Since protein is the key constituent of your hair and nails, eat foods rich in protein, like fish, meat, eggs, pulses, nuts etc. A glass of milk daily will do wonders. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also very good for your hair.
Trim your hair regularly (after every six to nine weeks). This will not only prevent split ends, but will also give your hair a healthy look.
Look after your hair
Be gentle with your hair. Comb through your freshly washed, damp hair using a wide toothed comb, rather than using a hair brush. Brushes are best used when your hair are completely dry.
Use suitable hair products and tools
Use hair products that suit your hair type. Some over the counter products can be used for all hair types (dry, oily, normal), but most of the time they are meant for a particular hair type.
Try some natural remedies
Try some natural DIY home remedies to make your hair look shiny and feel silky. Tea treatment is the best for shiny hair. Pour tea over head after shampooing your hair and wash with cold water. For irresistibly soft hair, mix one tablespoon of olive oil and one egg and apply on your hair. Let the mixture sit for 10 to 15 minutes and then shampoo and condition as usual.
