How to Jump a BMX Bike Ramp

Riding bicycles has slowly but surely started to pick up in popularity once again. Most people are now looking to ride bikes for as long as they can, since it keeps them healthy and fit.

At the same time, riding bikes also keeps your fuel costs at a low, since you aren’t wasting any money filling the tank of your cars while riding bikes.

Now not all people like to simply ride bicycles for leisure, some are looking to participate in competitive sports with their bikes, and then go on and get one step ahead of the rest.

These people tend to go ahead and get BMX bikes. BMX bikes have no suspensions, but are low, fast and can be taken of jumps, and are use to do tricks with.

Now in order for you to make a successful jump, you need to be careful and avoid making any mistakes or you could end up with a nasty injury.

    Practice

    Before you even think about going out on a bike and taking it for jumps, or off ramps, you need to put in a lot of practice on it.

    Practice riding the bike, and make sure that you get accustom to the bike and the way it handles over a period of time.

    You can also try mini jumps off the ground, just to get a hang of things.

    Build speed and align yourself

    Now before you actually make a jump off your bike, you need to pick the area that you are going to jump on, or off, of. When you do this, go ahead and aim yourself towards that area.

    Once you are done positioning and aiming yourself, go ahead and charge at it with full speed. However, don’t start wobbling your bike, since that could lead to you going out of control and could hurt a lot.

    Execute

    Now once you have the direction and the pace going for you, go ahead and head to the place you want to jump. Now once you reach this place, you are going to have to lift yourself up, while pulling the bike up with you.

    With the pace that you have developed, this is going to happen really quick, and should you do things right, you should manage to go ahead and make the jump without any problems whatsoever.

    Once you land, just try and stay in control of the bike as well.
