To make a basic chocolate and honey face mask, take a small bowl, and combine the butter and sugar. Cream them together as you would for a dessert, and once the mixture attains a thick and creamy consistency you can spoon in the chocolate spread and honey.
Mix all these ingredients thoroughly with a spoon until they are completely amalgamated. The mixture should form a thick and creamy paste, dotted with sugar granules for exfoliation. Wash your face with a regular facial cleanser, and pat it dry.
Now, while the skin is still slightly dewy and moist, smooth the chocolate and honey mask onto your face in circular motions, and coat your skin with it evenly. Then, keep it on for around 20 minutes, allowing it to nourish your skin. Once the time period has elapsed, rinse your face with warm water, and then follow it up with a cooling rinse.
Another variant of this facial treatment is known as the creamy chocolate and honey mask. This incorporates oatmeal and heavy cream into the mix, and uses cocoa powder instead of actual chocolate. The oatmeal has soothing properties that soak up excess oil and cleanse pores, while the heavy cream has potent moisturising qualities.
For this face mask, take a small bowl, and mix in honey, cocoa powder, oatmeal powder and heavy cream. Stir this mask with a spoon, until it becomes smooth and creamy. Smooth this onto your face in a similar manner, using circular motions, and allow it to stay on for 15 to 20 minutes.
Once this time period has elapsed, rinse the mask off with warm water, and pat your skin dry gently. Finally, follow it up with a cooling rinse, to counteract the warmth of the chocolate and honey.
