How to Make a Colorful Seven Layer Salad

Salads are not only tasty, but also very healthy. A lot of people consider salad as a separate dish, but many like to enjoy it along with the meal. It takes only a little time to make salad.

The seven-layer salad is a big hit these days. Almost at every family event and gathering, people love to add this to the table. The name suggests that it is a very hard dish to prepare, but the reality is entirely different.

You just need to place seven layers of different ingredients, and this will make a delicious salad for you. Always make sure that you don’t add too much quantity of any ingredient.

Ingredients:
Head lettuce chopped: 1
Bell peppers chopped: 2 medium
Bundle green onions: (5 to 6) 1
Celery stalks chopped: 5
Peas: 1 can
Bacon bits: 1 jar
Mayonnaise: 1 cup
Sugar: 1 cup

    Make sure that your bowl is completely clean. First of all, place a layer of chopped lettuce at bottom of bowl. Spread it evenly, because the first layer is very important. It may disturb the whole structure.

    Over the lettuce, layer peppers evenly. Don’t use too many peepers, because they may spoil the taste.

    The third layer should be of green onion. Don’t forget to make it even.

    It is the time now to add whole can of peas as a layer. Make sure that you drain them after opening the can.

    On top of peas, take package of shredded cheese.

    The shredded cheese should be covered with bacon bits.

    Take a separate container, mix mayonnaise and sugar together. The sugar must be completely dissolved, because any solid sugar particles might spoil the taste.

    Take the mayonnaise mixture, and put it on top of the bacon bits. Use a big flat spoon to make the final layer as even as possible.

    Your salad is ready now. You can put it in the refrigerator until the time of serving.
