Font and page format
Any standard font can be used for the entire page as long as it is consistent through out. Switching fonts can make the page look uneven and unprofessional. For example the font style can be Times New Roman and 12 Font Size should be used except for the title of the page. The margin in between the line breaks should also be equal throughout the page at 0.5 or 1.
The title of the paper should be center aligned in the middle of the paper. It should be written in such a way that only the first letter of each main word is capitalized. There is no need for italics, quotation marks or bold words. The center aligned title should be of a larger font than th rest of the cover page so it is prominent.
The following information should be mentioned underneath the tile:
- The name of the paper's author or writers in case of multiple participants.
- The name of the course should also be mentioned.
- The name of the instructor is to be placed after the name of course
- Name of the institution, college and university.
- Finally, the date of submission of the paper should be added
Make it sure that full names are written and no nick names or abbreviations are used. The whole this section should also be center aligned and must follow the formatting that you have chosen.
Page numbers and headers
You should have page numbers on all pages of the college paper including the cover page. Use the header of the document for this information. Along with the page number you should also have an abbreviated version of the title.
The Cover page should be the first page to be seen by the instructor or any one else that reads the document. Do not place anything before this page and make sure that if you add a binding or plastic cover that it is ether completely see through or at least shows the title and other information.
