How to Make a Perroquet Cocktail

If you are conducting a summer party at your place but are worn-out of serving the same old drinks, then spice things up with a Perroquet Cocktail. It is ideal to serve on warm summer days. It is traditionally prepared with licorice liqueur, mint syrup and water. Perroquet Cocktail is available in many variations and flavors. It is always better to serve it in a highball ball cocktail glass to give it a more traditional touch.

Here is a quick and easy Perroquet Cocktail recipe. It makes one Perroquet Cocktail, though you can easily double the quantity of the ingredients for larger groups and events.

Utensils Needed: Cocktail Glass, Cocktail Mixing Glass
Ingredients:

– (1 1/2 oz) licorice liqueur
– (1 dash) mint syrup
– (1 dash) water
– Ice Cubes or cracked ice
– Fresh Mint Leaves for garnishing – up to you

Instructions

    First of all, chill an old-fashioned cocktail glass by placing some ice cubes in it and setting it aside while making the rest of the ingredients. Otherwise, you can simply place it in a refrigerator for some time.

    Grab a cocktail mixing glass and place some ice cubes in it.

    Note: You can use cracked ice as well.

    Pour in 1 ½ oz of licorice liqueur.

    Add 1 dash of mint syrup to the ice-licorice mixture and stir.

    Continue stirring until both of the ingredient blend well and chill.

    Now, pour in 1 dash of water and give it a very brief stir this time.

    Discard the ice cubes in the chilled old-fashioned cocktail glass.

    Strain the Perroquet Cocktail from the mixing glass into the pre-chilled old-fashioned cocktail glass.

    Now, place a few fresh mint leaves at the top of Perroquet Cocktail and serve it with a cute smile on your face.
