How to Make a Rabo-De-Galo Cocktail

Brazil is another fertile land as its people made a decent contribution in introducing different types of cocktails and most of them are now offered or made in various bars around the world. One of these cocktails which originated from Brazil is known as Rabo-De-Galo Cocktail. This cocktail is full of flavour, which comes with the earthiness of cachaca and the bitter sweetness of vermouth and cynar. Vermouth is basically a mixture of “everything you have in the bar”. From this you can imagine how strong a taste Rabo-De-Galo Cocktail will give. Moreover, the proportions of ingredients in Rabo-De-Galo Cocktail are also not formally established. Due to this reason, most of the bartenders simply “eyeball” the ingredients or adjust them according to customers’ taste. The common version of Rabo-De-Galo Cocktail usually includes 1/3 proportion of vermouth and 2/3 of cachaca. Different variations of this cocktail are also available at present, in which people usually replace vermouth with Cynar. This Italian bitter apéritif liqueur has a flavour of artichoke, which makes this drink more striking.
