Making a Sake Bomb Cocktail, also known as sake bomber, is a fun party drink that is usually served at Japanese restaurants and sushi bars around the globe. Basically, it is a shot of dry sake plunged into a glass of any traditional good quality beer.
However, the art in this amazing cocktail revolves around its presentation. They way it is set up and the way it is dropped are two artful tactics that make this beer cocktail a wildly well-liked drink. Traditionally, this amazing cocktail is served in a beer mug. However, you can use a cocktail glass as well.
Try a Sake Bomb Cocktail and chant “sake...sake...sake...SAKE!”
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Serving Size: 01
Utensils: Cocktail Glass or Beer Mug
- 5/8 ounces beer – any brand that you like
- A shot of filtered sake
Select a cocktail glass or beer mug and pour in 5/8 ounces of any of your favorite brand of beer.
Note: Make sure not fill the glass or mug up to the rim. You have to leave some space for a full shot glass that will be dropped into it at the end.
Pick a pair of chopsticks and gently place it across the top of the mug or glass. Now, push both of the chopsticks close together in order to give them a bridge across the top of your cocktail glass.
Note: Try not to push the chopsticks all the way against each other, making sure to keep a little space in between.
Gently drop in a shot of filtered sake, balancing the sake glass on top of the chopsticks.
Serve or drink the Sake Bomb Cocktail without delay as dropping the sake into beer causes it to fizz viciously. Cheers!
