How to Make a Tom and Jerry Cocktail

Neither Tom the cat will start medaling around while preparing this drink nor will Jerry demand for his share. The both famous carton characters have nothing to do with this drink though many people think that they are some how associated due to the unique name, Tom and Jerry cocktail.

The beverage certainly tastes as mischievous as the character of Jerry, and energetic as the male cat Tom. But this traditional drink was deduced by a British journalist Pierce Egan, in the year 1820.

Now this fantastic beverage has become a part of American culture. On Christmas times Tom Jerry has become the most admired drink. Brandy rum and eggnog are the three main ingredients of Tom and Jerry Drink. The cocktail is usually served hot in a mug, but when it was devised the drink was served in a bowl.

There are several ways of preparing this drink, but the method mentioned in this article will extract the amazing flavors from each ingredient and produce an amazing fusion.

The awe-inspiring site of the drink is when the mug containing Tom and Jerry cocktail is placed in a plate and the creamy soft liquid is dripping from all sides of the mug.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Serving Size: 1 Serving

Utensils Required: Irish coffee mug, cocktail stirrer, beater and two small bowls

Ingredients:

1 egg
1 oz of dark rum
1 table spoon of sugar (you can also use a sweet syrup instead of a sugar)
1 oz of brandy
Hot milk or hot water what ever is available

    Take an egg and wash it properly. On a clean surface hit the egg gently, in order to crack it.

    Very carefully separate the egg white from the egg yolk and place them in a bowl separately.

    One by one beat the egg white and egg yolk and then fold them altogether.

    Pour the egg in the mug and then add rest of the ingredients one by one.

    Take a cocktail stirrer and stir the drink for once.

    Before serving sprinkle grated nutmeg on the drink.
