How to Make Cucumber Sandwiches for Tea

Utensils: Paper towels, knife, colander, cutting board, mixing bowl, serving platter or tray

Ingredients:
Cucumber: 1 large
Cream cheese, softened: 1 package (about 8 ounce)
Mayonnaise: ¼ cup
Garlic powder: ¼ teaspoon
Onion salt: ¼ teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce: 1 dash
Bread: 1 loaf (about 1 pound)
Lemon pepper, (optional): 1 pinch

    Prepare Cucumber Slices

    Take a large fresh cucumber and peel it properly, using a sharp knife. Place on a cutting board and cut it into fine slices. These slices will start releasing water after some time. Therefore, place them between two large paper or kitchen towels and set in a colander for about 10 minutes, allowing the liquid to drain.

    Place Ingredients in a Bowl

    In the mean time, grab a bowl and add 8 ounce of softened cheese, ¼ cup of mayonnaise, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon of onion salt and 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce into it.

    Mix Up

    Use a spoon, fork or whisk to blend the ingredients together until they mingle up well and form a thick but smooth paste. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for few minutes.

    Make Bread Slices

    Take about one pound and remove its crust with a knife. Now cut it into slices.

    Apply the Cream-Cheese Mixture

    Pick up the bread slices one by one and evenly apply the cream-cheese mixture on one of their sides, using a knife.

    Add Cucumber Slices

    Now place the drained cucumber slices over half of the bread slices and then dust them with some lemon pepper.

    Apply a thin layer of mayonnaise to the other halves of the bread slices and place them over the cucumber slices to give them a sandwich shape.
