If you have the required ingredients, you should try making some delicious mango ice cream on your own. The recipe is quite simple and you can prepare it on a regular basis.
Prep time: 10-15 min
Freeze time: 2-3 hrs
Total time: 3 hrs 15 min
Yield: 6 servings
Utensils: Bowls, Saucepan, Blender, Freezer, Peeler, Wooden spoon, Large container
Heavy cream: 2/3 cup
Light cream: 2/3 cup
Egg yolks: 2
Corn flour: 1/2 teaspoon
Warm water: 1 teaspoon
Large mangoes: 3
Mango juice: 1 tablespoon
Crack eggs in a bowl
Crack eggs in a small bowl and separate the yolks. You will not require the egg whites for this recipe, so store it somewhere for usage in any other dish.
Combine water and corn flour with the yolk
Add some water and corn flour to the bowl containing egg yolks and start mixing the ingredients until they become smooth.
Heat cream in saucepan
Put light cream in the saucepan and heat it on low flame. You just have to make it warm otherwise it will burn. Once you get the desired result, add the egg mixture in the saucepan and stir constantly. Once the mixture gets thick, place it aside.
Make mango puree
Peel the mango skin and slice the mangoes into smaller cubes. Put them into the blender in order to make mango puree. Once it is ready, pass it through a sieve in order to get rid of the fibre.
Mix together custard and mango puree
Combine both mixtures you have made. Once they are blended, add some lemon juice as well.
Whip heavy cream
Start whipping the heavy cream until it becomes soft. Add it with the mango mixture and stir properly with the help of a wooden spoon.
Freeze the mixture
Add the mixture into a large container and allow it to freeze for a couple of hours. Take it out afterwards and stir once again before leaving it in the refrigerator for another hour. Your mango ice cream will be ready to be served.
