One of the most delicious dishes for Thanksgiving Day or Halloween are Pumpkin Bars. You can make them easily after following some simple instructions.
Ingredients
  • Eggs - 4
  • Granulated sugar - 1⅔ cups
  • Vegetable oil - 1 cup
  • Pumpkin - 15-ounce can
  • Sifted all purpose flour - 2 cups
  • Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Ground cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Icing -
  • Package cream cheese - 8-ounce
  • Softened butter or margarine - ½ cup
  • Softened sifted confectioners’ sugar - 2 cups
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Instructions
  1. First, you are required to preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Take an electric mixer and add four eggs, 1⅔ cups of sugar, one cup of vegetable oil and one 15-ounce can of pumpkin. You need to blend these ingredients at medium speed.
  3. Now take a large bowl and add two cups of sifted all purpose flour, two teaspoons of baking powder, two teaspoons of ground cinnamon, one teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of baking soda. Be sure to stir together all the ingredients.
  4. Next take the dry mixture and add into the pumpkin mixture. Then mix it at low speed and continue mixing until the batter is smooth.
  5. After making the batter smooth, spread it on the 13x10 inch baking pan. You are required to bake it for half an hour.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool after baking for 30 minutes. Later you can cut it into bars.
  7. In order to make the icing, you need to mix cream cheese and butter in a bowl with help of an electric mixer. Then add sugar and mix again. In the end stir in vanilla extract and mix the ingredients again.
  8. You need to spread the icing on the cooled pumpkin bars.
