In order to ensure that the dough will hold together is by adding some milk in small quantities.
Be careful not to add too much milk as this can make the dough watery.
This is why it is best to add one tablespoon of milk at a time.
In order to bring about the shape of the shortbread cookies, mould the dough into a log with a diameter of about two inches.
Next, cut the dough into rounds about ⅓ inches thick.
This cutting will ensure that the cookies are thoroughly baked properly in the oven.
When the dough is ready to go and the cookies have been cut as mentioned in the above step, place them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for an estimated time of 30 minutes.
They may cook even faster which is why checking every 10 minutes for them to turn golden brown is a good idea.
