How to Make Shredded Beef Tacos

The dish here can turn an ordinary dinner into a feast and celebration. Good food always has the tendency to brighten up things and bring love and happiness back into life. In this recipe, beef is exotically boiled and enveloped in tacos to make a wonderful dish. The spices used make all the difference by saucing it up and giving a taste that cannot be forgotten easily.  The amazing thing is that making this dish is not difficult and asks for very basic culinary skills. You just need the right ingredients, time and a good recipe. The beef takes its time to braise so you have to prepare for it in advance before you plan to serve it.

Utensils: Mixing bowl, fork, slow cooker and serving platter

Ingredients:
Limes, quartered: 2
Chuck roast: 4 to 5 pounds
Vegetable or canola oil: 2 tablespoons
Salt and pepper
Cloves garlic, smashed: 4
Tomato paste: 1 tablespoon
Chili powder: 1 tablespoon
Ground coriander: 1 tablespoon
Ground cumin: 1 tablespoon
Bay leaves: 2
Cinnamon sticks: 2
Tortillas: 10-12
Avocados, sliced: 2
Fresh cilantro leaves: 1/2 cup

    Wash the beef well. You can use a slow cooker or an oven to boil the beef. However, in a slow cooker, the beef becomes moist and soft. Pour oil in the cooker and warm it. While it is warming, season one side of the beef with salt and pepper. Place the beef in the oil with the seasoned side down. While that side is being seared, season the other one. After two minutes, flip over the beef to sear the other side as well.

    Now add the garlic, all spices and the tomato paste to the cooker over the beef. Fill the cooker with water to a level where it just covers the beef. Let the beef boil for three hours.

    After three hours, check the beef for tenderness. If it is, remove and place on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred it.

    Fill tortilla with the shredded beef and add toppings like avocado, lime, cheese and cilantro. You can also thicken the cooking liquid in the cooker and drizzle a small amount over the shredded beef to make it richer.
