The first thing you need to do in order to make worms in dirt pudding is to prepare dirt. Place your oreo chocolate sandwich cookies in the zip-top plastic bag, and with the help of a rolling pin, crush the cookies. Crush until the cookies in the bag become crumbs. Do not worry if the crumbs are not of same size.

After your dirt has been created, start making the pudding. Pour the dry pudding mix into a large bowl, and add milk in it. Whisk together until it becomes a smooth mixture. Let it sit for around 5 to 10 minutes until it thickens. Add the whipped topping and half of the crushed oreo cookies in the bowl, and mix it together well.

Divide the pudding mixture evenly in all of the cups. Make sure that you do not fill the cups completely – ½ cup of pudding will be enough. Tap the cups a couple of times over the countertop in order to level the pudding mixture. Take your gummy worms, and insert three of them in each of the cup.
