Use Lemons or Limes
Set a large pot of water on the stove and wait until it starts simmering. In the meantime, cut some lemon or limes into fine slices and add them to the boiling water. Reduce the heat of stove to medium-low range and let the water simmer for 15 to 20, keeping the pot uncovered. The citric and refreshing smell of lemons and limes will travel the throughout your house, overcoming the offending odours.

Use Vanilla and Cloves
Bring a medium pot of water to boil on stove’s medium-high heat and add a handful of cloves to it. Pour few drops of natural vanilla drops to it and let the solution simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, reducing the heat to medium-low range. After few minutes, your home will smell like you have spent the day baking cakes, desserts or cookies from scratch.
Boil Essential Oils
You can also use the easily available natural essential oils for sweet smelling house. Add few drops of your favorite essential oil to a pot of boiling water and let it simmer until dry.

Bring Candles into Play
Add few drops of essential oil right into the center warm wax of your burning candle. The emerging smoke as a result of burning will smell like the fragrance of the essential oil, neutralising the humming odours of your house.
